Inspired by Babies 2

Hi everyone, I'm back with another baby card.  My husband says this is his favorite but that's because it's blue.
This adorable image is from A Day For Daisies.  The entire image is cut out with the labels 8 die and then the center is cut with the Lacy Oval die, leaving some of the image on the labels die.  The labels frame is then added with pop dots.

The flower and leaves are cut from felt, so easy and they add a wonderful softness, just right for a baby card.  The sentiment is computer generated.

The image is colored with Creative Inspirations Paint, 'Sunshine, Green Olive, and Sky Blue', which I mixed with 'Blue Ice'.  I also added some of CI Paints Jeweled Inspirations and Metallic Inspirations which will be available July 1st, so be sure to look for those.  They're 'hot fix' which makes them so easy to add with your rhinestone setter although you don't have to.  I've been using Glossy Accents, which works just fine.

Here is a little freebie word art I made.  If you can use it, just click on it and then right click, and then click on 'save image as' or however your program saves files.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Inspired by Babies

This week, at Creative Inspirations Paint, we are being inspired by babies.  It's been a while since I've made a baby card even though it's one of my favorite cards to make.

It's not showing in the picture, but everything in the image has been given a touch of CI Paint to give some sparkle.  I used amethyst, green olive, and sunshine.
I turned to several challenges to give me some inspiration.

Sweet Stampin' asked us to use 'something old, something new', and my something new is this adorable LOTV image, whereas the lavender and yellow striped paper is an older Anna Griffin paper.
Totally Papercrafts asked for 'spots and stripes'; her pretty dress has spots and the pearls create spots.
Sugar Creek Hollow is playing 'bingo'; I chose lace, buttons (flower centers) and diecuts (leaves).
Creative Inspirations: stitching, which is something I love to do
Crafts and Me:  stitching

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Inspired by Bright Colors and Something New

This week, at Creative Inspirations Paint, we are being inspired by bright colors.

Today I'd like to show you some awesome new bling that CI Paint will have available starting July 1st.

See those 3 red dots?  These are  Metallic Inspiration,  fabulous thin metallic hot fix dots of color!  And the crystal rhinestones are  Jeweled Inspirations,  beautiful hot fix jewels to add that extra little sparkle to your  projects!  Even though these are 'hot fix', if you don't have a rhinestone setter, not to worry.  I used Crystal Effects and it works just fine.  These are awesome!!  Be sure to make yourself a note to check them out on July 1st at CI Paint.

This is a new fold for me.  It's called a triangle joyfold card.  I CASED it from Diane who CASED it from Marlena.  How's that for passing it on, LOL!  Totally loved making this card.  The rose image is from Delicious Doodles, which is colored with Prismacolor pencils and then given some shimmer with CI Paint 'Pink Highlight, and Rose Quartz. The butterflies and the lace border are a MS punch.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Ticket to Magic

This week at Creative Inspirations Paint our inspiration is 'Fancy Folds'.  Have you ever made an explosion box?  These are so fun to make!  They take a bit of time but they are so worth it.

This box has a disney theme and since disney is all about glamour and sparkle, what better medium to work with than CI Paint, with all its shimmer and shine!
For the top, I made some flowers and painted them with CI Paints 'Sunshine', 'Blush', 'AquaMarine', and 'Amethyst'.  The butterflies were stamped and painted with the same paints.  I wanted pastel colors so I mixed my main color with 'Blue Ice' and glazing medium.

I made some glimmer mist with CI Paint 'Gold' and 'Blue Ice',rubbing alcohol and water and then spritzed the entire box.  I think this box is going to glow in the dark, LOL!
And then you take off the lid and TA-DA!

Did I mention how fun these are?  Sometimes I think I'm still a kid!

There are pockets that hold tags for photos and journaling.  They have buttons sewn on for pull tabs.  The center has a castle and butterflies that are attached to acrylic strips which lets them flutter when the box is opened.  More handmade flowers and glimmer mist.  Each panel has a tri-fold card which closes by being tucked under the ladies skirts.

.
This box was made for a fundraiser.  Sure hope someone likes it enough to buy it.

I Sing

When things aren't going right, I sing.  Usually just to myself since I don't want to subject anyone else to my singing, LOL.  I find singing healing.  And lately this song has been going through my head so I finally decided to put it on paper

.
Can you tell I like pink?  It just makes me happy.  I used a sketch from Card Positioning Systems.   I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the image with the scalloped circle die.  I punched out the butterflies and painted them with Creative Inspirations Paint 'Blue Ice'.  This is a sheer color with a beautiful shimmer.   By entering  CI Paints challenges you'll have the opportunity to win some of these beautiful paints for yourself!

ABC Scripture Challenge

Recently I discovered Patter's scripture challenge and have finally found the time to participate.  For this week, the word is 'lonely'.  How fitting for me to start this challenge now.  The last two days I have been feeling a bit depressed and I needed the reminder that God is always with me and that He will never forsake me.  I love how our Father always finds a way to slip in the exact reminder that we need.

The little puppy is another digital stamp from sliekjestamps.  Love her images!  The entire page is done with digital designs I've downloaded from the web.  I think I still enjoy digital designing the best.  It's so inexpensive and I can play all I want without any waste.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day.

Inspired by: Friends

Sorry I've been MIA.  My sister is visiting from Texas and we are enjoying our time together.  Up to now we have had rain, rain and more rain.  I was beginning to think I was going to have to build an ark!  Since she came, we have had nothing but beautiful sunshine which I am sure she brought along with her, LOL.

This week at Creative Inspirations Paint we are being inspired by friends.

I love this quote which I found online.  The frame is from  StitchyBear Stamps.  The image is printed on acetate and then colored on the backside with CI Paint 'Amethyst', 'Green Olive' and 'Winter Frost'.  I mixed my paint with some glazing medium to give me time to do some blending.  Love the sparkle!  If anyone remembers the tinsel painting from the 50's-60's, this reminds me of those.

I also painted the ribbon which is underneath the image and the butterflies with Amethyst.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day.
